Day 2 is much easier in terms of feeling hungry. I am hearing from God 'do not seek the glory from man. It is between me and you'. I remembered Matthew 6
Matthew 6 Fasting;
16"Whenever you fast, do not put on a gloomy face as the hypocrites do, for they neglect their appearance so that they will be noticed by men when they are fasting Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full. 17"But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face 18so that your fasting will not be noticed by men, but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.
This is good reminder on motives of fasting. I pray that God keeps my motive in check.
Today, I found a prayer room near my daughter's school by surprise. While waiting to pick her up, I am so delighted to spend 1 hour in this quiet place meeting with my Lord. Here, I took a communion in remembering His body and blood. God showed me a picture where He picked me (a little girl) and tossed me up and down and pick me up when I fell down. I heard laughter. We are having a lot of fun. When I survey the ground as I fell downwards, I thought to myself: He is always there to pick me up, so I have nothing to be afraid of. Immediately, I start to fly fearlessly!
Today's Bible reading became my prayer to the Lord:
Psalm 27 4 One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life,
To behold the [a]beauty of the LORD
And to meditate in His temple.
5 For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle;
In the secret place of His tent He will hide me;
He will lift me up on a rock.
6 And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me,
And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.
A shout of Joy is our sacrifice to the Lord!
